According to a new report by WWF Singapore, engaging in clean cooling solutions is critical for the Republic to achieve its climate targets of net zero emissions by or around 2050. Singapore’s main cooling demand comes from commercial buildings, households, industries and data centres, which are responsible for about 30% of the nation’s electricity consumption. Without clean cooling intervention, this is expected to increase by 66% by 2030. Ms Swati Mandloi, WWF Singapore’s market transformation manager, shared more about clean cooling technologies and solutions.
