US’ Taiwan Policy Act could be a flashpoint in cross-Strait relations

The Taiwan Policy Act of 2022 has been described as the “most comprehensive restructuring” of US policy towards the island in four decades. There has been no word yet on when a vote on the bill will take place. Analysts said Taiwan will have to brace itself for China’s anger in the months ahead, if the US congress moves the bill along.
