United Nations Development Programme’s Knut Ostby on Pakistan’s “monsoon on steroids”

In Pakistan, devastating floods have killed more than 1,000 people. The country’s finance minister has estimated the flood damage to be worth more than $10 billion — equivalent to nearly 3% of the country’s GDP in 2021. Mr Knut Ostby, resident representative at UNDP Pakistan, shared more about the “monsoon on steroids” and the pressing and dire issues impacting the people and the country.
