UN team arrives at Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in Ukraine despite delays

The UN’s nuclear watchdog has arrived at the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia plant in Ukraine. The IAEA had earlier been delayed because of fresh shelling near the facility. But the team of experts were determined to head through the active battlefield, amid growing fears about catastrophic consequences should the plant come under fire. Ukraine’s nuclear agency said one of the six reactors at the nuclear plant has been shut down following repeated bombardments. Both Moscow and Kyiv have accused each other of disrupting the UN’s inspection mission.
