Thai PM Prayut resumes duties but remains quiet on future

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha officially returned to work today, after the Constitutional Court ruled on Friday that he had not hit the eight-year term limit. When asked about his political future, he gave a cryptic reply. Thailand is due for an election in May, and Mr Prayut has not indicated if he will run. Even if he’s re-elected, he cannot stay for the full four years, because his tenure expires in 2025.
