Taiwan to end COVID-19 quarantine for arrivals from Oct 13

Taiwan is looking to throw open its borders to welcome tourists back. The island will end its mandatory COVID-19 quarantine for arrivals from Oct 13. Local airlines are gearing up for the reopening, with the number of flights expected to increase by as much as three fold in the coming months. EVA Air has said it expects to triple its passenger flights in October from June. However, industry players said full recovery of the tourism sector will likely take a few years.
