A wild storm system continues to unload tremendous rainfall in Australia’s east. Sydney is on track to report its wettest year on record. The country’s third major flooding episode in a year has forced more than 85,000 people to evacuate in the state of New South Wales. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has promised disaster relief payments, as he visited affected areas. Authorities have warned the floods crisis could extend until early next week.
