Sustainability and the Environment Ministry marks 50th year with tree-planting event in Punggol

A call for more partnerships to turn Singapore into a more climate-resilient city over the next 50 years. Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu said the government will need as many people to chip in and care for the environment. She was speaking at an event to mark the 50th anniversary of the ministry. 50 trees were planted at Punggol — each to mark a year of the MSE’s work. These include native critically endangered and vulnerable species. The neighbourhood is Singapore’s first eco-town.
