Sri Lankan forces tear down anti-government protest camp as new PM is appointed

In Sri Lanka, there have been growing fears of a harsher crackdown against dissent, after government forces tore down a protest camp. The military has been accused of using excessive force. New president Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed an old friend, Dinesh Gunawardena, as new prime minister.
