Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam has warned that Singapore could be flooded with drugs, if it is not careful with the easy access and liberal attitudes towards narcotics happening nearby. Speaking at a Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association conference, he highlighted experiences from countries around the region, such as Thailand, which has made cannabis more accessible. A book was also launched. Titled “A Woman’s Journey Home”, it features the stories of 16 female ex-drug offenders as they battled addiction on their way to recovery.
