Six more MRT stations will be built in Phase 2 of Cross Island Line; to open by 2032

Phase Two of the Cross Island Line will involve the building of six stations. When completed in 2032, the line aims to cut travelling times for up to 40,000 households. The phase stretches for about 15 kilometres, starting from Turf City to the Jurong Lake District. The Cross Island Line is Singapore’s longest underground MRT line, and will supplement future plans to make western Singapore the second-largest business district .It was also announced that the East Coast Integrated Depot — largest train and bus depot in Singapore — is on track to be ready in three years.
