Singapore’s manufacturing activity fell in September for the first time in 26 months, due to the electronics sector weakening amid high inflation and geopolitical uncertainties. The Purchasing Managers’ Index, which measures factory output, dipped 0.1 point to 49.9. The index has been gradually declining since May on the back of a fall in new orders and output.
