Singapore’s core inflation hits new high of 4.4% in June

Singapore’s core inflation in June has hit the highest level in more than 13 years. It has come in at 4.4% on-year, driven by strong increases in food, retail and energy costs. Economists expect Singapore’s central bank to tighten monetary policy again. Inflation is projected to peak around the third quarter of this year.
