President Halimah Yacob has said Singapore-Vietnam projects – such as those in renewable energy, carbon credits and digitalisation – are important catalysts for deeper cooperation. The two countries will mark 50 years of diplomatic relations next year. Mdm Halimah is in Ho Chi Minh City as part of her five-day state visit to Vietnam. She was hosted to dinner at the Reunification Palace.
