Singapore prisons not overcrowded; conditions are “acceptable”: Shanmugam in Parliament

Prison conditions in Singapore are acceptable, Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam told Parliament on Monday (Jul 4). He said that the prison regime is kept strict to deter inmates from harming themselves or creating security situations.
