Singapore may evaluate its food import licensing conditions to diversify food sources. This applies to items such as chicken and eggs, following Malaysia’s recent export ban on the poultry. In Parliament on July 4, Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu also provided reassurance on Singapore’s food security amid the volatile global situation due to the Ukraine war. She added that Singapore’s agencies are working closely to ensure adequate food stockpiling.
