Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant reconnected to Ukraine’s power grid

The plant was knocked off the grid by shelling yesterday, renewing concerns over the safety of the Zaporizhzhia plant, which has been occupied by Russian forces. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the world “narrowly escaped” a radiation disaster, when Russian shelling knocked out electricity to the plant for hours. However, a Russian official put the blame on Ukraine instead.
