Proportion of “challenging” questions in PSLE capped at 15% each year: MOE

The proportion of questions classified as “challenging” in the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is capped at 15 per cent each year. The Ministry of Education (MOE), which gave this update, said the PSLE is kept at a consistent standard of difficulty. In recent years, tough PSLE math questions have borne the brunt of parents’ anger and dismay, gathering much attention on social media.
