Passengers departing from Changi Airport to pay higher fees and levies from Nov 1

Passengers flying out of Changi Airport will need to pay nearly $7 more in airport taxes from this November to March 2023. This fee hike was announced in 2018, but delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fees help support Changi Airport Group’s operations, upgrading works and future air hub developments. Part of the fees, called the aviation levy, also funds the regulatory functions of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. This was last increased 13 years ago.
