Singapore’s ruling People’s Action Party has said work is well underway to field the best team for the next General Election. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who’s also the PAP’s secretary-general, called on the party to maintain diversity in its ranks, exemplified by the MPs who retired in the last election two years ago. He was speaking at an event to honour these 20 members, whom he said had the grit and passion to build a better Singapore. Some of these MPs include former prime minister Goh Chok Tong, as well as former cabinet ministers Khaw Boon Wan and Lim Swee Say.
