The labour union is calling for more CPF contribution by tweaking its eligibility that’s pegged to income levels. It’s one way to help middle-income workers retire with enough savings, and accumulate higher compound interest. Another way to ensure workers retire with enough savings is keeping them in the workforce for as long as possible. This can be achieved by reskilling older workers to keep up with current trends. For example, public bus technicians are doing that by going through training to handle electric buses.
