Malaysia’s oldest coalition Barisan Nasional set to unveil candidates for general election

The race is on for political parties in Malaysia to unveil their candidates ahead of Nomination Day this Saturday. The country’s oldest coalition Barisan Nasional and two-year-old Perikatan Nasional will be naming their candidates today. Main opposition Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) was the first to reveal their list of more than 72 candidates last Friday, unveiling new faces to the political scene. This morning, Sabah-based Warisan party announced its bid to field 26 candidates. Malaysia is set to head to the polls on Nov 19.
