Luhansk governor urges civilians in eastern Ukrainian city of Lysychansk to evacuate

Civilians in the eastern Ukrainian city of Lysychansk — the last major area that Ukraine still controls in the Luhansk region — have been urged to evacuate now. Russian forces have been shelling the city heavily. The region’s governor has said Lysychansk is suffering catastrophic damage. Moscow is now focused on taking over the city, after neighbouring Severodonetsk fell last week. The invaders claim to have already entered Lysychansk from five directions and are now isolating the defenders.
