Lazada to set up company training committee with NTUC

Organisations looking to upskill their workers and raise productivity can tap a $70-million NTUC Company Training Committee Grant, starting August. Applicants must commit to at least increasing workers’ pay or implement a career development plan for them. The grant was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong during the Budget earlier this year. E-commerce company Lazada is among those tapping on the grant. Lazada also signed an agreement to set up a CTC with NTUC. It’s among the more than 1,000 CTCs established with NTUC.
