Impact of climate change on weather events in Australia

It is a “great concern” that climate change may be increasing the frequency and intensity of heavy rain in Australia, said an environmental expert on Wednesday (Jul 6). Speaking to CNA, Professor Jamie Pittock from the Fenner School of Environment and Society at The Australian National University also said a lot more work needs to be done to better prepare Australia to manage the impact of weather events.
