Divers in Kenya are racing against time to save coral reefs in the Indian Ocean by regrowing them in coral nurseries. Made of plastic pipes and pyramid structured steel nets, these nurseries are key to restoring degraded or damaged coral. Divers with the Reef Rangers programme plant over 8,000 corals a year, and have placed some 800 artificial reef structures to reclaim coral gardens near Wasini Island.
