Singaporeans are less satisfied with their retail experiences these days. Customer satisfaction scores are down 1.5% from last year, according to a Singapore Management University survey. Industry players said retailers can create better shopping experiences for their customers by providing cashless payments and offering omni-channel platforms, which comprises both online and physical shopping options. Department stores saw the largest decline in customer satisfaction, followed by fashion apparels. These two sub-sectors also registered lower levels of customer loyalty.
