Singapore’s contact tracing systems will still be in use until COVID-19 becomes endemic and vaccine-differentiated measures are no longer needed. Responding to queries in Parliament on the cost of such systems to businesses, Senior Minister of State for Health Janil Puthucheary said contact tracing is estimated to have prevented 290 deaths. It also curbed some 144,000 infections between September 2021 and January 2022.
