At least two killed as Typhoon Nanmadol brings record rainfall to Japan

Typhoon Nanmadol is pummelling Japan with ferocious winds and record rainfall. It has caused the death of at least two people and injured more than 100. Nearly six million people are still under evacuation warnings. Around 1,000 flights have been cancelled and bullet trains suspended. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has decided to postpone his trip to the UN General Assembly by a day.
