AirAsia Super App Indonesia diversifies from flights to food delivery, ride-hailing

Capital A, formerly known as AirAsia Group, is going all out to diversify its business portfolio in Indonesia, as it seeks to grow its non-airline revenue. Its subsidiary, AirAsia Super App, plans to launch its ride-hailing service before end-2022. The company’s food delivery service, which was rolled out in March, has seen thousands of F&B vendors registered. Capital A has poured more than $40 million into the super app business, and is looking to secure $100 million more by 2023.
