Keeps saying it doesn't apply to my system. My PDA did take the update, but everytime I sync, it keeps changing back one hour. It didnt' do this back at the beginning of DST. In fact, I had no issues with DST in the spring. Was smooth as could be. Now it's make me very frustrated. __________________ Everything is simpler than you think and yet more complex than you imagine. | | | | 10-29-07, 10:18 AM | #4 (permalink) | | Aximsite Rookie Join Date: Feb 2005 Posts: 66 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | Wait till next week and it will be right | | | | 10-29-07, 10:22 AM | #5 (permalink) | | Aximsite All Star Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Rockledge, FL Posts: 952 Device: LG Fusic Carrier: Sprint Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | I guess that's what I'll do. This is messing up a lot of stuff and now I don't know what times to trust on my calendar. __________________ Everything is simpler than you think and yet more complex than you imagine. | | | | 10-29-07, 10:24 AM | #6 (permalink) | | Aximsite Prospect Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 15 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | Same problem here. MS DST update applied, but time is still off by an hour. Did you install football update? I have. | | | | 10-29-07, 10:27 AM | #7 (permalink) | | Aximsite Legend Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Jacksonville, FL Posts: 23,583 Device: Nokia 6555 Carrier: Clearwire Thanked 50 Times in 50 Posts | Originally Posted by tiger_splash | | Well the update for my PC won't run. Your problem is on the PC not the PDA. Until you update the PC, it'll keep syncing you PDA clock to the PC time. Which OS are you using on your PC? | | | | 10-29-07, 10:31 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Aximsite All Star Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Rockledge, FL Posts: 952 Device: LG Fusic Carrier: Sprint Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | I'm using Vista (which if probably my problem). According to the website, I should not have to update. My OS is already DST complliant. I tried to run the update for Vist 32-bit, but it won't complete. For the record, my PC did not change and has the correct 'stuff' for the new DST. __________________ Everything is simpler than you think and yet more complex than you imagine. | | | | 10-29-07, 10:35 AM | #9 (permalink) | | Aximsite Legend Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Jacksonville, FL Posts: 23,583 Device: Nokia 6555 Carrier: Clearwire Thanked 50 Times in 50 Posts | I'm wondering if you need a different update for you PDA then? You may need to contact MS for this one. If I remember right, the original PDA update was based on XP or 2000. | | | | 10-29-07, 10:38 AM | #10 (permalink) | | Guest | I also had this problem and downloaded the recent DST change. Although it didn't correct the time display on the PPC it did adjust my calendar items back to the correct time. The PC has the correct day/time and my Moto Q with Wm5 apparently had the correct data because it's fine as well.
As long as my calendar is OK I'll live with the 1 hour off until 11/4 or just change the time each morning until then. When I sync the time doesn't change but it must at midnight because yesterday it was fine but today it's not. | | | | | 10-29-07, 10:49 AM | #11 (permalink) | | Aximsite Legend Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Jacksonville, FL Posts: 23,583 Device: Nokia 6555 Carrier: Clearwire Thanked 50 Times in 50 Posts | Are you PPL using AS or the Vista program to sync your PDAs? | | | | 10-29-07, 10:53 AM | #12 (permalink) | | Aximsite Elite Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: USA Posts: 3,208 Device: windows mobile phone Carrier: AT&T Thanked 11 Times in 10 Posts | Did you do the trick of changing the time on your pocket pc to a different time zone, and then changing it back to your correct time zone? You may also need to perform a soft reset after you've completed this step. __________________ Julie (aka Prof Julie at the HP IPAQ and the Microsoft Windows Phone forums)| Microsoft MVP Mobile Devices | Mobility Site Moderator | Judge, Smartphone & Pocket PC Best Software Awards 2007 & 2008 | visit my blog: To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. I guess I needed to keep on reading the directions from Microsoft. Thanks for all the help. For anyone else experiencing the same issue, I am runnign 32-bit Vista Home Premium and using Mobile Device Center to sync my Axim x51v running WM5 thorugh Outlook 2007. The PC update did not appear to 'take' but the Outlook and PDA updates did. The last little step, changing your time zone and then changing back is IMPORTANT. Once I did that, everything worked likea charm. __________________ Everything is simpler than you think and yet more complex than you imagine. | | | | 10-29-07, 12:31 PM | #14 (permalink) | | Aximsite Minor League Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Mt. If all three updates were not applied then it seemed like the PDA would appear to not have changed. | | | | 10-29-07, 12:34 PM | #15 (permalink) | | Aximsite All Star Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Minnesota Posts: 924 Thanked 11 Times in 10 Posts | Well I didn't read all of that but I've done twice now. Simple: Just download as stated above. You can even download the dst without the pc on microsofts website. As for the pc time difference | | | |
